Hello!
I'm Marika, a neurodivergent counsellor and supervisor based in Telford, Shropshire and I work both in person and online with adults (18+).

Therapy is deeply personal, and finding the right person to work with can be a real challenge. Feeling a 'click', I would say, is one of the most important parts of choosing a therapist or supervisor. Let's see if I'm the right person for you to work with.

What's brought you here?
If you’re neurodivergent, or think you might be, and have found previous therapy to be a bit stiff or unhelpful, I may be a good fit for you. I’m down to earth, approachable, and neurodivergent myself (confirmed ADHDer, more than likely AuDHDer; watch this space) , which can help clients feel understood without having to over-explain themselves.
Are relationships difficult or a struggle somehow, leaving you feeling frustrated, disconnected or invisible? Perhaps you've been impacted by trauma or feel a sense of not belonging, somehow. Many of my clients come to therapy after having their experiences minimised or feeling judged; I don't do that. I'll tailor our work together with respect for you and your individual experience.
Some of my clients arrive in therapy weighed down by their life responsibilities, a little burnt out or lost, and without anyone to speak with about the way they really feel. If that's where you are, and you'd like some help getting back to you, you're in the right place.

I genuinely love this work and I believe it’s an enormous privilege. While I have particular training behind me, and tools that I can share with you, I’m not here to tell you what to do or offer unwanted advice (you may have enough people in your life doing that already). I aim to offer a space where you can begin to drop the masks, speak openly about what's going on for you, and feel genuinely understood.
